U of M Ridder Arena
EVS provided the site engineering and utility design for the Women's Hockey Arena and Tennis Center at the University of Minnesota. These two facilities are indoors and covered under one roof. The site is adjacent to the existing Mariucci Hockey Arena. The project required demolition and removal of inplace parking lots, tennis courts and utilities. Routing and relocation of water main, sanitary sewer and storm sewer were a major portion of the project. Maximizing the efficient use of valuable and limited land near the University was also a challenge. The project also included new site grading, concrete walks and curbs, storm drainage, sanitary sewer, and water mains.
